commentLarry Seidell Roadside Service and Towing is anything but!! Stop! Do not use this service. They have subjected me to the worst towing experience I have ever had!! I have the AAA premier roadside service which allows me long distance towing, therefore when my son was stuck on Hwy 80 East, I called them for assistance. They sent a Seidell flat bed truck to transport my son's car from Pinole to West Sacramento, or that's what I thought. The driver informed us that he could not tow the car to America's tire in West Sacramento because he had other local calls that he had to attend to. Uh, it might just be me but I thought that I was a customer also. In addition, he knew that it was a long distance transport before he arrived. The Seidell driver also noted that he wouldn't be able to get the car to America's Tire before it closed (which was not true because this whole debate and other processes took an enormous amount of time and I passed through West Sac on our way home a half hour before America's tire closed) but I digress. The Seidell driver said that he would have to take the car to the Seidell shop and transport it to America's Tire after hours, at about 2100 or so, and drop the key in the drop box after his other jobs. Not acceptable!!! But my son is easy-going and approved.
As we drove back to Sacramento, without said vehicle, America's Tire notified us that they do not have a drop box. We notified AAA and asked them to have the Seidell truck tow the car to my house.
Well, the time is now 2200 on 6/25/2014 and no car. I called AAA back and they said that Seidell could not have the car transported for another 3-4 hours (that's after 0100 on 6/26/14, because Seidell only has two flatbeds and they are transporting other cars. Well I guess I'm just a piece of chicken crap on the side of the road and they've decided to hold my son's car hostage at their shop.
Conclusion? Just don't trust Larry Seidell's Towing. If you have AAA, make sure they are not sending a Seidell truck. If I could give them negative stars I would.
